I am about halfway through Henry James’ The Turn of the Screw, an interesting, if not slightly wordy, ghost story. Like Bram Stoker’s Dracula, I am finding it hard to read The Turn of the Screw. It is, no doubt, a well written story, but I always seem to have trouble with the language of stories written in other decades.
Despite my wavering comments, I do think anyone interested in writing horror, or any type of fiction for that matter, should check out this story. If any of you out there have already read it, and would like to comment on it, feel free.
Speaking of writing, I should really get back to my work in progress.
