Yes, another one. Been busy these few days. Sure, I should be busy writing, but I can’t concentrate until I know my babies are out looking for new homes.
Anywho, I sent “Enduring at the Edge of the Storm” back out, this time to Son and Foe, a professionally paying mag (5 cents/word).
This story, which I initially had very high hopes for, is starting to dog me. This will be the 5th submission of this story, and the response to it is withering. Initially, Surreal Magazine held it for months, and it seemed they were interested. Since then, editors haven’t responded well to it.
I can understand why. It is a quiet story, relying on atmosphere and curiosity to carry the reader through. SO, my fingers are crossed, and I believe I’ll start writing again.
