Rainy Days
As I write this, the sky has opened up and released a torrent of rain on the dim world. That has been the general atmosphere this summer. Days of rain and gloom.
Don’t misunderstand me; I love this weather.
If it has to be summer, then give me summer storms. It’s the closest thing to autumn I can get during the hot months, and it never fails to stoke some deep impulse to eat popcorn and watch horror movies. That’s where my mind is being led, even as I type this newsletter.

I’m thinking about late night movies on WPIX. I’m thinking about rented VHS tapes from my local mom and pop video store. I’m thinking about things that don’t exist anymore, but can be recreated when the atmosphere is just right, and the world acquiesces.
Tonight, I’ll watch Brainscan followed by episodes of The Twilight Zone. I’ll let the sounds of another dimension play over the pouring rain, and for a little while, it’ll feel like home.
Stickers
Last week I teased you with my fairly terrible attempt at creating a sticker (with a quote from my upcoming novel Precipice of Nowhere). This week, I can reveal that a very talented artist has taken the idea and created something much better!
Do you have a favorite color?

And now that you’ve seen some of the amazing work Aerin can do (she’s also currently working on a bookmark for Precipice of Nowhere, which I’ll reveal next week), you should keep her in mind for any projects you have coming up.
You can contact her for more information via inverce@hotmail.com.
