Since We Last Spoke

In my last post, I told you about how I almost gave up and the results of not giving up, which included a short story acceptance for Tales to Terrify (coming in 2026).

Well, I can top that.

Okay, okay. Some of you are rolling your eyes because, yes, this news actually dropped way back in early November (I got to sign the contract on Halloween, which was particularly cool). But hey, I’m nothing if not completely inconsistent with newsletter releases, so this shouldn’t surprise anyone.

For those of you who are hearing about this for the first time, here’s the skinny: My novel The Precipice of Nowhere will be published by the Crystal Lake imprint, Torrid Waters, tentatively in 2026.

Sidenote: I desperately need a new author photo.

Listen. I’m not a fan of writing these end-of-year newsletters. I love reading everyone else’s, I just don’t much like cataloguing my own yearly accomplishments, because I invariably feel like I didn’t do enough. So, I’m gonna skip all that and instead share one other piece of news:

I’m planning a new sculpture. I’m working on having it complete in time for AuthorCon™ VI: February 27 – March 1, 2026. First dibs on sales will go to active Patreon members at a discounted price, the remainder will be sold at Authorcon, and if there are any left, I’ll put them up on my website.

Don’t judge the sketch too harshly. I’m not an illustrator, but I like to plan before I sculpt. The finished product will look better, I promise. Details can and will change, but this is what I’m shooting for.

If you’d like access to “first dibs” on sculptures, discounts, videos, more frequent updates, Discord, and your name appearing on the acknowledgements page of my upcoming (and future) novels, you can sign up for my Patreon for as low as $1/month (with added benefits for higher tiers). You could also signup for free if you just want to have a look around.

Right, that’s my sales pitch for the day.

Really, I just wanted to drop in and wish you a very Happy New Year. As for myself, well, if you know me at all, you know it’s going to be all Twilight Zone Marathon and Antipasto for the next couple of days.

See you next year!
