Today my 100-word flash piece “My Room” was published.
I wrote this little guy a couple of years ago for a contest that never was. Back when I had a couple flash pieces published by another magazine, I submitted this as well, but they found the content too disturbing for publication.
I never did think it was all that bad. Hope you enjoy.
Great "stomp line"–leaves one with a nice, unsettling feeling in the gut.
I liked that ending, I probably shouldn't, but I did. 😀
I write flash horror and I have to say, 100 words of less is extremely challenging. You did a wonderful and pleasantly wicked short!

This was great! I loved the "naked lightbulb" it was a nice description of desolation… and i chuckled at the ending, was not expecting that but it was a goodun!
