Halloween VHS Mix Tapes
I love when two or more of my interests intersect. The result is akin to Spinal Tap turning it up to eleven. The combination just makes everything better.

Such is the case every October, when I combine my love for all things nostalgic and all things Halloween. One unholy offspring is the legendary “Halloween VHS Mixtape.”
I think the first one (or at least the first I was aware of) was made by Eddie Spuhghetti. His “Halloween Companions,” (which he still slings over on his website along with summer and X-Mas editions) were my introduction into the wide world of VHS Mixtapes.

Since then I’ve collected as many as I can find, and even made my own. The Candy Corn Apocalypse Halloween Treat Bag was at first only digital and limited to my Patreon members. I later recorded only FIVE physical VHS tapes, four of which were sold at conventions, and one of which I kept for myself.

These “mix tapes” are, generally speaking, a collection of Halloween commercials, movies, and television specials from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Each tape has its own themes and content, though after a while you’ll of course get some repetition.
But I don’t mind. These tapes are the sounds and sights of the holiday. I play them in the background while I work, cook, bake, and decorate.
In fact…I’m playing one right now.

Have you ever watched, made, or purchased a Halloween VHS Mixtape?
Teaser Trailer
I recently made a creepy “book teaser” video to promote Precipice of Nowhere. Watch it here:
Precipice of Nowhere
Kindle Pre-orders are Live, but if you’re waiting for the paperback, you could also help by sharing this news, (either via this newsletter or my other social media accounts).
I can’t tell you how much simple word of mouth campaigns can help with books sales. I truly appreciate anything you can do to help spread the word this month.

Until next time, friends. Breathe deep of the night.
