Horror Mystery Box Giveaway

To help celebrate the release of my new short story “Loosely Enforced Rules,” and to get the word out about my countdown deal for Welcome to Moon Hill, I decided to run a giveaway.  Considering my undying love for mystery boxes, it seemed obvious what I had to do.

First order of business:  Take a look at my short story collection Welcome to Moon Hill.   It’s on a countdown deal, starting at 99 cents, and working its way back up to the list price of $3.99 by Monday, June 2nd.

Welcome to Moon Hill: A collection of 19 stories, and a couple of surprises.

Moon Hill is a forgotten place that few purposely visit, and even less leave. Once you arrive, the deep dark of the forest creeps into your mind and will not relent. Strange flowers that grow from deer carcasses, murderous lunatics, talking ravens, wriggling parasites that induce eruptive confessions, and demons of every variety: they all live here too.

Even so, the residents of Moon Hill can feel, beyond the fear and distress, that this land is special and they are lucky to live here. Most everyone feels that way right up until the day they come a little too close to the magic of this place. When dusk’s light leaks through their carefully locked doors and rips holes in their minds.

Then, they pray for release.

–Welcome to Moon Hill.

Second order of business, become aware of the release of my new short story “Loosely Enforced Rules” (available now).

That question is so not fair! There are soooo many! I am pretty partial to the Hellraiser series though

I have too many horror movies to pick just one, but
My favorite that I watch constantly is Stephen King’s IT it just makes me happy. I love the setting, and the way it sucks you in to the world. 🙂

  3. I love Slither. I love a lot of horror films, but this is one that I can watch over and over again and it never gets old.

  4. i have no idea how you could ever choose a favorite horror movie… So, I will say I really loved the Nightmare on Elm Street movies as a child. They don’t have the same effect on me now though–I just secretly wanted Freddy’s glove. I was seriously obsessed with Night of the Living Dead and Return of the Living Dead movies (3 especially because I fell in love with Julie and her self torture).

  5. Halloween is my fave because it’s the first horror movie I ever watched as a kid.

  6. Jeanette Jackson

I have so many favorites with John Carpenter’s Prince of Darkness and The Thing right up there at the top of my list.

  7. If I had to pick one: Night of The Living Dead. It’s my mom’s favorite, so I watched it regularly growing up. (She would always taunt me with “they’re coming to get you…” Terrifying.) Such a hard choice.

  8. My favorite horror movie of all time is,
    Return of the Living Dead.
I’ve seen it over 50 times, own it on VHS and DVD, have an autographed poster, and my prized possession is my Tarman action figure.
Thanks for the chance to win your giveaway.

To this day I still love The Creature from The Black Lagoon…may well be an oldie but it scared me way back when. Vitina Molgaard
